Sugarpill and Barry M pastel eye

This look was created using Sugarpill and Barry M products, both companies that I love!

The lid is a pastel lavender purple which has a soft pink blended in the crease, and on the inner corner of the eye is a lashing of turquoise, colours that compliment each other insanely, but no-one realises!


Step 1

• Prime your eye if you have oily lids, or if you just want your makeup to last all day with no creasing. I used Too Face Shadow Insurance, but you could use a creamy white pencil underneath or another brand of eye primer.

Step 2

• Pat a lavender or pastel purple shade onto the lid, and make a cat-eye shape towards the end. This will be blended over, so no need to be perfect. I sprayed a flat brush with Max Fix + Fluid and packed on some Barry M Dazzle Dust in Pearly Mauve (DD90). Don't put too much on your brush or it will all fall down onto your cheeks.

Step 3

• Now for that peacock colour! Use a turquoise and add it just to your inner corner, blending slightly into the purple so that there are no harsh lines, but you don't need to make a seamless transition between the colours. Make sure it is blended around the other edges into the skin so it doesn't look like you just put felt tip on your eye! I used the Barry M Dazzle Dust shade Teal (DD94) on a stiff blending brush, to pack it into the corner, but so it is easy enough to blend out.

Step 4

• Next you want to get a soft pink colour in the crease, that blends effortlessly into the lavender and towards your brow bone. I used Sugarpill's Dollypop on a fluffy crease brush as it makes the colour less intense because of the lack of density in the bristles. Since it is such a strong and amazing colour, I just dipped my brush in once or twice, tapped off the excess, and worked it into my crease. Remember that cat-eye shape from earlier? As you blend the pink into the crease, the purple underneath will help the colour transition better and give the shading more depth. I like to think so anyway(!)

Step 5

• Take a little bit of the pink or purple you used and blend it on a fluffy brush onto your lower lid just under your lower lash line. Apply eyeliner and mascara of your choice, making a cat-eye effect, or wing. Don't forget to highlight with Sugarpill's Taco on the brow bone, as it finishes the look off and helps anything that needs a bit of extra blending.
